Empowerment of women and gender equality

Gender equality continues to be an important issue in our society. At the A1 Telekom Austria Group, we not only want to draw attention to this subject, but also actively address it. For this reason, a plan for the advancement of women has been drawn up in Austria in order to define measures for more equal opportunities. The aim of these measures is to promote professional development opportunities for women and to improve the compatibility of work and family life. In addition, the women’s network “women matter” has been created. On this platform, women can exchange ideas and know-how and support each other.

Furthermore, the A1 Telekom Austria Group wants to provide more support for parents returning to work after maternity leave. For this purpose, A1 Austria offers two-day seminars with the aim to help those returning to work to easier reconcile job and family. Additionally the company wants to make sure that mothers and fathers can stay up-to-date also during paternity leave. For this purpose, the initiative “Business@Breakfast” has been put into place. A concept that is particularly popular in the case of longer absences and enables an easier and successful re-entry.
